The hotel is firmly connected to the local area. Each guest’s stay contributes a portion to Dar al-Ma'mûn, an UNESCO recognized art centre and library that provides cultural education and activities for the local village. The centre is based at the hotel and is open to the public and guests.
There is a small working farm where guests can participate in daily rural life such as gathering eggs or milking a goat giving a sense of timelessness to your visit.
The hotel is set in 11 hectares (27 acres) of grounds. Take your pick between a view of the magnificent Atlas Mountain range or a green cactus speckled terrace with a sparkling turquoise swimming pool.
There are ten spacious villas. Each of these roomy buildings has been divided to create comfortable rooms in a variety of sizes. Every room is unique- combining traditional Berber patterns with modern colours and furnishings from some of Morocco’s hottest artisans and designers. The Fellah is contemporary chic mixed with traditional Moroccan zest!
For a more exclusive experience, some of the villas can be converted into a private bed and breakfast. Imagine a large lounge, Moroccan living room, dining room with a fireplace, kitchen, large terrace, and your own expansive garden with a private pool and Hammam. A private housekeeper and cook can be provided on request.
The Fellah's mission is also to encourage culturally and socially aware children by providing hands-on adventures!
In cooperation with Dar al-Ma'mûn, the on-site art centre and library that serves both guests and the public, the hotel offers the following activities for children:
• The Fellah Educational Farm. Collect eggs, groom the donkeys, milk the goats, pet the rabbits. This small working farm gives a real taste of rural life.
• Nature Connect. Take a guided tour of the gardens and surrounding fields to learn about nature. Part of this experience includes each child getting to tend a part of the garden by planting seeds.
• Artistic Awakening. Presented by the Dar al-Ma'mûn artists in residence, children create take-home works in a variety of mediums and techniques like collage, drawing, architecture, painting, and cartoons.
• African Tales. Children will be fascinated, entertained, and (shh!) educated as a storyteller recounts the most magical stories of the African continent!
• Boxing for kids. Specially designed sessions for children to help them learn to unwind and use their energy in a positive way.
• Hands-on Skin Care. With the natural cosmetic and skin care brand Naturom, children will have fun smelling fragrances, mixing up ingredients, and creating a wonderful skin care product to take home.
