Sometimes referred to as the Smart Divers Resort, Sipadan Mabul Resort is a good choice for those wishing to dive at Mabul and Sipadan while staying in simple accommodation on the island of Mabul.

Standard chalets are basic with two single beds, a sitting area, and verandah. Standalone chalets have ocean-facing balconies, two single or one kind bed, and are a bit more spacious and comfortable than the standard chalets. A limited number of suite chalets are available with a bedroom separated from a living area with a wet bar. All chalets are built from dark wood and many feature private outdoor showers. All windows have screens to keep mosquitos out should you prefer to use a ceiling fan and the natural breeze instead of air conditioning.

Meals are served buffet-style in a shared dining area and full board is included. The selection is primarily Asian with plenty of fresh seafood at supper time. A swimming pool and outdoor jacuzzi are available for guest use and a small beach sits beside the jetty.

A full-service dive centre offers all levels of instruction, equipment rental, air and Nitrox fills, a secure and well-ventilated storage area for personal gear, and multiple rinse tanks. Certified divers may book a stay with or without diving including a day at Sipadan if staying for at least five nights. A dive package includes three boat dives per day at Mabul, Kapalai, or other nearby islands (except days of arrival and departure) with weights, tank, air fills, and the service of a divemaster. Unlimited day time diving at the house reef with a buddy is also included.
