Create special memories for the whole family.

The pearl of the Atlantic is a great holiday destination for active families looking for sun and fun. Combine adventure with splashing in your own pool. You and your family will get up close and personal with whales and dolphins, go waterfall hunting via the famous levadas walks and whizz downhill in a makeshift toboggan (yes really) returning to your home away from home in your sun-soaked villa with a private pool.

Every family is different that’s why we tailor everything to your families needs. Below is a suggestion on how you can spend a week making memories that will last a lifetime but drop us an email or call (0207 112 0019) to see how we can create something special for the whole family.

Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Madeira

You’ll be met a Funchal airport by your transfer or pick up your rental car.

Then arrive at your villa or hotel ready for a week of fun in the sun!

Day 2 - Explore Funchal

Madeira’s capital Funchal offers plenty of fun for the family. Visit the famous botanical gardens, take in the views in a cable car.

A must try hurtling down the steep, winding Monte roads in a traditional wicker basket sledge, which is manned by a pair of straw-boatered guides who will ensure you reach the bottom in one piece

Day 3 - Whale Watching

Thanks to its location on migratory routes in the North Atlantic, Madeira is blessed with a great variety of marine wildlife you can spot on a boat tour. Year-round residents here include mighty sperm whales and energetic bottlenose dolphins.

You have a 99% chance of seeing whales and dolphins but if you don’t you’ll be given another opportunity for free!

Day 4 - Waterfall Hunting

The island is covered in mountain trails, but among the most memorable pathways are along the Levdas or man-made canal/irrigation systems. The most beautiful being the Levada dos 25 Fontes, taking you past the marvellous 100-metre Risco Waterfall

However, we will suggest the best walks that will suit your family (and little legs)

Day 5 - Jeep Safari

One of the best ways to see Madeira’s diverse landscape is on a half- or full-day four-wheel-drive jeep tour of the island. This will whip you through a variety of terrain from pretty coastal fishing villages, such as Câmara de Lobos, to emerald mountain peaks and Valley of the Nuns through thick, jungle-like forest, passing vineyards, farms and villages along the way.

Day 6 - Chill out time

Enjoy your last full day lying by the pool or visit one of the beaches.

Day 7 - Farewell Madeira

Time to say good bye to the island. Either return your rental car or a transfer will bring you back to the airport.

Don’t forget to pick up some Madeira wine and cake to bring home.
