Descending into a lava tube or beneath into an ice cave beneath glacier, or both if possible, is an absolute must when visiting Iceland. Only in the Land of Fire and Ice, can you discover incredible colourful lava tube formations and awe-inspiring ice caves beneath the glaciers. There are various locations throughout Iceland where you can explore these incredible phenomena so we can incorporate a caving adventure into the route you decide to take through Iceland
My Advice: Where possible, I recommend a trip to Vigelmir, Iceland’s largest lava formation cave.
