Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to the Galapagos!

Welcome to Baltra, gateway to the Galapagos! Once a WWII airbase, this tiny island is now home to the world’s first eco-airport. After landing, we skip the queues with VIP lounge access – the perfect place to freshen up with a cool drink before our adventure begins.

We head straight to the turquoise waters of the Itabaca Channel for kayaking, snorkelling, and paddleboarding among sea lions, blue-footed boobies, herons, and reef sharks. After gliding past red mangroves and lava cliffs, we continue to the highlands of Santa Cruz for lunch and a walk among wild giant tortoises. We end the day in Puerto Ayora, our base for the next few nights at Finch Bay Hotel.

Day 2 - Full-Day Cruise: Explore a Nearby Island in the National Park

Step aboard our motor yacht for a full-day adventure to one of the Galapagos’ remarkable nearby islands. With a warm welcome from our crew and a knowledgeable naturalist guide, you’ll explore in comfort and style, enjoying breathtaking scenery and unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Depending on the day, you may visit North Seymour and Bachas Beach, South Plazas, Santa Fe, or Bartolomé and Sullivan Bay. Each destination offers a unique blend of dramatic landscapes and iconic species, from sea lions and marine iguanas to blue-footed boobies and vibrant reef fish. Box lunch is included.

Blue footed boobies in the Galapagos

Day 3 - Let's go to Isabela!

This morning we take a speedboat to Isabela, the largest and one of the most wildlife-rich islands in the Galapagos. After checking into the fabulous Iguana Crossing hotel in an ocean front room with full board, we’ll head out to explore Las Tintoreras – a cluster of small volcanic islets near Puerto Villamil. Expect close encounters with sea lions, penguins, rays, turtles, blue-footed boobies and more. After a walk on the islets, we’ll snorkel in the sheltered bay, often joined by playful sea lions and curious penguins.

After lunch (included), we set off on foot along the Wetlands Trail. This scenic route winds through mangrove forests, marine iguana colonies, beaches and lagoons, ending at the haunting Wall of Tears – a relic of Isabela’s darker past. Along the way, we’ll enjoy sweeping views, spot native birds and possibly encounter wild giant tortoises roaming freely in the undergrowth.

Day 4 - Sierra Negra Volcano Hike

Today we explore Isabela, one of the Galapagos’ youngest and most active volcanic islands. Our full-day adventure takes us into the highlands to hike up Sierra Negra, home to one of the largest volcanic craters in the world. Morning mist often lingers around the rim, adding to the volcano’s mysterious feel. Along the trail, keep an eye out for Galapagos Hawks, finches, and even Short-eared Owls.

We continue to the surreal landscapes of Volcán Chico, where jagged lava fields and smoking fumaroles feel like another planet. Despite the harsh terrain, you might spot lava lizards darting between the rocks. We’ll stop under a shady jaboncillo tree for a picnic lunch (included) with sweeping views over the island and beyond to Fernandina, Pinzón, and Santa Cruz. After completing this 16 km hike, there’s time to relax on the beach back in Puerto Villamil.

Day 5 - San Cristóbal Island & La Lobería

This morning we take a short flight to San Cristóbal, one of the oldest islands in the Galapagos. After checking into Golden Bay Galapagos in a waterfront room with half board, we set off to explore La Lobería, a scenic coastal spot just outside town.

We’ll take a gentle walk or hop on bikes along the shore, where a playful colony of sea lions awaits. There’s time for a relaxed snorkel or simply to sit and enjoy the ocean breeze as the sun sets over the Pacific – a peaceful, picture-perfect Galapagos moment. Lunch is also included today.

Day 6 - Underwater Life at León Dormido

Today we set off early from Baquerizo Moreno Port to the iconic León Dormido, also known as Kicker Rock. Before reaching this stunning natural monument, we’ll warm up with a snorkel in a calm, sheltered bay, where playful sea lions love to join in.

León Dormido is made up of two towering volcanic rocks rising sharply from the sea, creating one of the Galapagos’ best snorkelling spots. Here, we’ll explore the channel between the rocks, swimming alongside white-tipped reef sharks, stingrays, hammerheads, turtles, and colourful tropical fish. With luck, you might even spot dolphins or whales passing by, making this a truly unforgettable underwater experience. A snack during the day is also included today.

Day 7 - Goodbye Galapagos!

It’s time to say goodbye to the enchanted Galapagos. After an early breakfast, we’ll visit the Interpretation Center on the northern edge of town. Here, you’ll discover fascinating insights into the islands’ natural history, human impact, and ongoing conservation efforts to protect this unique ecosystem.

In the afternoon, we’ll board our flight back to mainland Ecuador, returning to either Quito or Guayaquil.
