Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Bienvenidos a Argentina!

Welcome to the ‘Paris of Latin America’. Upon arrival at Buenos Aires’ Ezeiza Airport, you will be greeted by one of our English speaking guides who will privately escort you to your hotel in Recoleta.

We have nothing planned for the rest of the day so you can get accustomed to your new surroundings. Accommodation at Intersur Recoleta in an executive single room for 3 nights with daily breakfast.

Day 2 - Bike tour of the northern neighbourhoods

This tour is a great combination of history and modernity of Buenos Aires. Visit its parks, great French style buildings and get ready and discover how the elite and influential families helped built the country.

Cycling you will understand the cliché of why Buenos Aires is referred to as the “The Paris of South America”. We visit the neighbourhoods of Puerto Madero, Retiro, Recoleta, Palermo and Monserrat. Along the tour we will have 7 stops, to see the most attractive parts of the city.

Day 3 - Palermo food tour

Tonight you will visit 4 amazing restaurants. Each one will present their best selection of dishes for you to discover. You will enjoy more than 10 dishes and drinks showcasing the best of Argentine cuisine, including wine.

As it is a walking tour, you will walk from place to place, you will learn the history of the neighbourhood, the street art & the deep-rooted culture of Palermo.

Day 4 - Patagonia here I come!

This morning, we will privately take you to the airport for your flight to El Calafate. Upon arrival, you will be taken by private vehicle to your hotel in the city centre.

Enjoy this afternoon at leisure and explore the restaurants and artisanal shops of this picturesque town.  Accommodation at Hosteria Los Hielos in Standard Room with breakfast for 3 nights.

Day 5 - Witness the amazing Perito Moreno glacier!

Today’s tour takes you into Parque Nacional Los Glaciares for views of the immense Perito Moreno Glacier. En route to the glacier stop at the pier for a short boat trip to the south wall of the glacier. From the water level you get an amazing feel for its sheer size, more than 3 miles wide and over 20 stories high – a true highlight of Argentina. We have organised a picnic lunch to enjoy on the walkways overlooking the glacier.

Day 6 - Visit to Estancia Cristina

Estancia Cristina is tucked away in a pristine, north-westerly corner of Lake Argentino in Los Glaciares National Park, right at the furthest end of the Cristina Channel, near the incredible Upsala Glacier.

This rural ranch is steeped in history, founded over a century ago in 1914 by Joseph and Jessie Masters, who came from the UK to start a new life in this beautiful yet utterly remote place.

Today, Estancia Cristina (named after the Masters’ daughter) wears that reputation well, inviting you to immerse yourself in the special heritage and spellbinding scenery that makes it such an extraordinary, unforgettable destination to discover.

Day 7 - Bus to Argentine Patagonia jewel: El Chalten!

Your Patagonian adventure continues and today it will take you to the charming town of El Chalten, the walking capital of the region where you can take treks to the beautiful Mount Fitz Roy range.

We have included a bus service and the journey is around 3 hours. Once arrived, make your way to your accommodation, Senderos Hosteria where you will spend 3 nights in a standard room with breakfast.

Day 8 - Trekking to Laguna de los Tres

This is the most popular trek in El Chalten, and it is certainly one of the prettiest.

You will see a lot of glaciers along the way and the trek will be challenging but you will be rewarded by the majestic views of Fitz Roy, the glacier de los Tres and its lagoon. The grandeur of this location makes you feel very small in front of nature’s beauty.

From here we circle Laguna de los Tres and head towards the viewpoint of the Laguna Sucia and its glacier. After a rest and a bite to eat for lunch, we will start the descent and walk back to El Chaltén.

Day 9 - Trekking Los Huemules

Los Huemules is a private 5,800 hectare reserve some 20km north of the village of El Chalten, sandwiched between the Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina and the vast Bernardo O’Higgins National Park in Chile. It is named after the huemul, the south Andean deer that is Chile’s national animal and is considered an endangered species.

The clear advantage of hiking here, as opposed to the more famous trails out of El Chaltén (Laguna de los Tres, Cerro Torre etc) is that Los Huemules has a very small number of visitors – it is still our little secret!

Day 10 - Adios Patagonia, hello Iguazu falls

It is time to wave goodbye to Patagonia and catch your flight to the Puerto Iguazu.

The bus from El Chalten to El Calafate airport as well as the private arrival transfer in Iguazu are included.

You wil spend 2 nights at Iru Mercure Hotel in a standard room with breakfast.

Day 11 - Tour to the Argentina side of the falls

To experience fully the Iguazu falls you have to visit the national park from both sides, Brazil and Argentina. Yesterday you enjoyed a panoramic view whilst today you will take the trails that run along the edge of the falls in Argentina.

You can also add a boat tour to get really close! This is optional, ask us if you wanted to add it.

Day 12 - Brazil side of the falls and flight to Buenos Aires

This morning you will be picked up at your hotel for a tour of the Brazilian side of this spectacle of nature.

After you will be driven to Iguazu airport for your flight back to Buenos Aires for your last night in Argentina. Once landed in the capital a private car will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel, Intersur Recoleta, where you will spend 1 night in a single executive room with breakfast.

Day 13 - Departure

A private transfer will take you to the airport for your international flight back home.

Buenos Aires
In Buenos Aires, Argentina's cosmopolitan capital, you'll find graceful plazas, tango shows, melancholic melodies, historic buildings reflecting European grandeur, trendy bars, nightlife every night of the week, steak dinners, an emerging art scene and a Latin flair.
There is so much to do and see that you could spend weeks in "the Paris of South America" but to catch the highlights, we recommend at least 3 days in this exciting city.
Las Cataratas de Iguazú
The spectacular Iguazu Falls are located within the Iguazu Falls National Park on the Northern border of the Province of Misiones. This series of 275 waterfalls is at the heart of the Paranaense Rainforest, where the Argentine, Brazil and Paraguay borders meet, and where the cities of Puerto Iguazu (Argentina), Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil) and Ciudad del Este (Paraguay) face each other.
We recommend at least 2 nights in Puerto Iguazu so you can visit both sides of the falls. They are very different and both are jaw-dropping.
Parque Nacional Los Glaciares
Perito Moreno is one of the highlights of Argentina. This vast glacier is located in the Parque Nacional Las Glaciares, close to the town of El Calafate. Whether you watch its huge ice blocks collapsing into the lake from the viewing platform or take a hiking tour on the glacier itself finishing at the only bar in the world where the ice is older than the whiskey, the glacier's scale and shades of white and blue will leave you speechless.
We recommend at least 2-3 nights in El Calafate, the gateway to the National Park.
Mendoza
Mendoza is famous for its Malbec wine and vineyards in a spectacular setting, but there is so much more to enjoy. From white water rafting, fly fishing for trout, horseback riding in the Andes at sunrise, biking through the vineyards, to climbing Mt. Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America, there are plenty of ways to experience this region. We recommend at least 3 nights in Mendoza.
Salta "La Linda"
Set at the foothills of the Andes mountain range, Salta is at an elevation of 1,152m. The city's architecture is spectacular and you can see the influences from bordering Bolivia, Paraguay and Chile. While it's worth spending at least one or two nights in Salta, build in time for the surrounding area. Take a day tour to El Cafayate and marvel at the unique mountain formations and desert colours on the way, or an overnight tour to Cachi in the Calchaquí Valley, known for its adobe houses and white colonial buildings, surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
Peninsula de Valdes
The Peninsula de Valdes, a nature reserve in Northern Patagonia, is best known for whales, sea lions and elephant seals. Probably the largest draw are the Southern Right Whales (Ballena Austral) that come to take shelter in the natural bays of the peninsula between June and November. We recommend spending at least two to three nights in Puerto Madryn, the gateway to the peninsula.
Bariloche and the Lake District
San Carlos de Bariloche, simply known as Bariloche, is situated in the foothills of the Andes and is Argentina's most popular destination for skiing and hiking. Its ever-present views of the glacial lake Nahuel Huapi are spectacular, but the area is also a foodie hub, well known for its traditional asados (BBQs), choloatiers and micro breweries.
Ushuaia
Ushuaia is the capital of the Tierra del Fuego area in the southernmost tip of South America, often nicknamed the “End of the World.” Nestled between snow-capped Andean mountains and the shores of the Beagle Channel, it is an adventure hub where guests can visit national parks, kayak and hike, crab fish, visit penguins or explore old shipwrecks. In the winter, you'll find the world's southernmost ski resort, Cerro Castor.
