Three Tree Hill Lodge is located close to the Drakensberg Mountains, overlooking the Spioenkop Game Reserve. Owner run by experienced safari guides who have a passion to share the legacy of the Battlefields as well as the beautiful surroundings.
All rooms are equipped with en suite bathrooms (separate bath/shower), roof fans, heaters, down duvets and private verandah.
Three Tree Hill is built on a hillside and surrounded by a veranda with various sitting areas. The inside lounge and dining room is open style and decorated in a 'by-gone' colonial era.
Meals are enjoyed inside and outside, depending on the weather. Dinners are usually seated at a communal table giving a chance to inter-act with the other guests. Food is excellent, offering a touch of local cuisine.
The swimming pool over looks the valley and offers a secluded place to unwind in the tranquil surroundings.
During your stay you can enjoy tours with experience guides of the Battles of Spioenkop and Colenso as well as Churchills capture at Chieveley. These tours offer a very interesting insight to the history of the 2nd Anglo-Boer War.
Other activities include horse-riding and walks.
Three Tree Hill is also a good base from where to explore the nearby Drakensberg and is ideally located mid-way between Johannesburg and Durban.
