Premier suites: Two of the suites are situated in The Cellars Main House. The upstairs suite overlooks the camphor walk, terrace and water garden. The other suite is on the ground floor and opens onto The Cellars pool and fern garden. The suite situated in the Hohenort Manor House, is Edwardian in style and has its own private balcony overlooking the Herb and Citrus Terraces. The six garden suites are private maisonettes each featuring an elegantly decorated lounge, with its own closet, kitchenette & mini bar, and opens onto a secluded luxuriant terrace and garden. En suite bedroom is fully air-conditioned and has views of the Herb garden and mountain.
The Madiba Villa:
Hidden away in our beautiful gardens, the two-storey Villa is self-contained, with a private driveway leading up to a discreet entrance.
A large open-plan lounge and dining room welcome guests upon entering the house, with three double en suite bedrooms leading off the central area. A fireplace, air-conditioning and under-floor heating provide maximum comfort for our guests at all times, while a private courtyard and swimming pool ensure a tranquil stay.
Additional features include a bar area and service kitchen, making the Villa ideal for guests accompanied by private staff.
The Madiba Villa is 264m2 in size. Maximum two people per room.
The Liz McGrath Villa:
The self-contained villa is located adjacent to our fragrant herb garden, with a large private courtyard leading out from the lounge and dining room for up to six guests. The villa features two spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and shares a private enclosed foyer with one of our Premier Suites – which can be used as an additional accommodation option. The wood-panelled, fully-equipped kitchen and separate lounge with fireplace and its own entrance from the foyer make the villa perfect for entertaining.
Eating options at the hotel include the well known Cape Malay Restaurant, The Greenhouse, The Martini as well as the wine cellar for private dining.
Other facilities at The Cellars include choice of 3 swimming pools, tennis court, walks in the garden, Gary Player putting green, use of bicycles to explore, holistic spa and hair salon. Nearby is a selection of wine estates, top golf courses and for those want to stay fit a Virgin Active gym.
