River and hillside lodges within the Tabin Wildlife Reserve. This rainforest is home to gibbons, orangutans, elusive clouded leopards, a staggering array of birds, a mud volcano, and a host of wildlife.

In a reserve known for its rich bird population and wealth of wildlife, Tabin Wildlife Resort offers comfortable accommodation and excellent guides.

Ten River Lodges sit above the water with private balconies looking out over the river. Each en-suite wooden bungalow is fitted with ceiling fan and air conditioning, a hot water shower, and ample space for two adults. All rooms are connected by boardwalk to the reception and restaurant area. Up quite a few stairs are the ten Hill Lodges. Five of these are fitted with a queen-sized bed and five have three beds, ideal for small families. These lodges offer a bit more privacy than the River Lodges but the stairs should not be underestimated. All chalets are comfortably furnished and simply decorated, highlighting the surroundings and natural resources.

Meals are served at the Sunbird Café buffet style with a focus on local Sabahan fare. Accommodations are readily made for vegetarians and others with dietary restrictions. Full board is included during a stay at Tabin Wildlife Resort. A small bar sells beer, wine, and soft drinks. An open air sitting area beside the café draws guests together in conversation but also beckons as a peaceful place to watch the river flow and listen to the symphony of birds and insects.

Any stay at Tabin includes a number of safari or bird watching drives and walks as well as other activities to explore the Wildlife Reserve. Many involve a fair bit of walking. Rubber rain boots in a variety of sizes may be borrowed and leech socks purchased in the gift shop.

Limited WiFi is available in the reception and restaurant area but given the remote location, the connection may be slow or not working at any given time.
