St James of Knysna

The St James of Knysna is an exclusive, owner run, country house hotel nestled on the shores of the Knysna Lagoon in the heart of the Garden Route.

There are 16 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites, all with air-conditioning, en suit bathrooms plus mini bar, tea/coffee station, satellite television, safe, direct dialling phones plus bathrobes and hairdryers. The rooms are luxuriously appointed and offer lovely views across the lagoon to the Knysna Heads or over a well-manicured 3 acre gardens.

Rooms are divided between the Manor House where there is the gorgeous George Rex and Lady Anne Suites as well as two garden facing deluxe suites and a smaller double room. Downstairs from here is the Twin Palms Restaurant, Paquita Bar, Main Lounge and receiption.

The adjacent Courtyard offers 4 superior suites (3 are lagoon facing) – all with balconies and located on the upper floor as well as 3 deluxe lagoon facing suites and 2 junior suites nestled around the Mediterranean courtyard with a private swimming pool.

St James of Knysna is your haven whilst exploring the sights of the Garden Route and you can enjoy and unwind in the peaceful gardens that offer gentle strolls there is a large Koi pond as well as 2 swimming pools, croquet and angling off the private jetty.

As a guest you can use the canoes to explore the fascinating eco-system of the lagoon.
