Lovingly restored, Riad El Zohar is a haven of peace yet is as close you can get to the heart of the Medina: the souks and the Jemaa el Fna square. There are 5 bedrooms and a good-sized pool and a genuine warmth from the Moroccan staff
El Zohar has two excellent chefs with a typically Moroccan menu prepared with ingredients freshly purchased to the guests order every morning. On request, by discussion with the manager, many other beautiful dishes can be prepared using seasonal ingredients from the daily markets. You can choose to dine by candle light on the roof terrace, in the terrace tent, on the patio or in the dining room. Cookery lessons are also available starting with a trip to buy spices and visit the markets.
The location is right in the very centre of the Medina so all the main attractions are only a few minutes walk away, a perfect base for getting to know Marrakech. Jemna El Fna Square is five minutes walk and the centre of the Souk is just two minutes walk from the front door. Despite the central location it is a very quiet area and once back in the riad peace reigns. Guests are supplied with maps and copious advice & information to enhance their visit to Marrakech.
Tea & coffee are complimentary all day and the price of the rooms includes all payable taxes. WiFi is free and available throughout the riad.
The bedrooms, which are arranged around the central courtyard, are all furbished to the same high standard and all are ensuite featuring traditional Tadelakt polished plaster. The bathroom all have hairdryer, dressing gowns, shampoo, body wash, hand wash, cotton pads and cotton buds.... designed to save luggage weight for the guests. The bedrooms all have aircon, which cools in summer and reverses to heat in winter.
