Nottens Bush Camp is a family run lodge in the heart of the famous Sabi Sands Game Reserve adjacent to Kruger National Park and home to the Big Five.
The lodge is built under riverine indigenous trees and offer guests vistas of the African bush overlooking a water-hole, from both the rooms and public areas.
There are nine individually decorated private suites, with open plan bedroom and en suite bathroom. All suites have both indoor & outdoor shower facilities. Each suite leads to a private wooden deck overlooking the African bushveld. All rooms have mosquito netting on all windows and doors and a ceiling fan cools the rooms.
All suites have hot showers, but no electricity. Parafin lamps and candles offer soft lighting creating a relaxing ambiance. Though plugs are available for re-charging of video & camera batteries in each suite.
The public guest area offers an open plan lounge and dining area, leading onto a wooden deck over-looking the bushveld and waterhole. The indoor lounge has a large fire-place and fully stocked bar. In the evenings meals are enjoyed in the open air boma around a large fire. Meals are a social event and enjoyed together with other guests at the lodge.
During the day you can relax by the swimming pool with its open plan pavillion, or for the more indulgent, enjoy a therapeutic treatment on the massage deck.
A typical day at Nottens Bush Camp would entail early morning and evening game drives in open land-rovers with an experienced game ranger and Shangaan tracker. Guests can choose to go on a game walk after breakfast or just relax during the heat of the day.
Nottens Bush Camp welcomes couples and families with children over the age of 6 years old.
