The old building itself is a National Historical Monument housing a winery, a Chapel and a white-painted farm building.
All of these are part of the oldest buildings in Uruguay. The Estancia Narbona was founded in 1740 in the outskirts of Carmelo. The establishment is comprised of: the winery, farm, restaurant, and the wine lodge.

The restaurant offers a unique concept in dining. Enter an old general store which has been restored to offer the historic richness of its past, along with culinary delights of the gourmet country kitchen. Delicious locally sourced ingredients are crafted here, resulting in a unique and unforgettable sensory experience. The dairy products and organic vegetables on the menu are grown and produced at the Finca Narbona farm. Dine indoors or outside on the terrace in the sun.
The estancia is built on the grounds of an award winning winery. Wines produced here are unique and with character, focusing on quality rather than quantity offering a select number of varieties produced each year.
