This cluster of homely bungalows sit high on the banks of the scenic and tranquil Nam Ou river, offering spectacular views over the forested and karst limestone mountains of Nong Khiaw.
With just 10 spacious detached bungalows, it provides an intimate stay and guests are soon known by the manager and owner during their stay. The bungalows mix traditional Lao style with all the modern conveniences you can expect. Finished with polished concrete floors, the rooms have traditional style beds on platforms, draped in richly coloured local fabrics and all have a wet-room style en-suite. The bungalows boast large glass doors that lead onto a verandah and the fountain view rooms have an additional mezzanine seating area upstairs.
Six of the bungalows have direct Nam Ou river view and four with a fountain view set in the gardens. Eight are 'Doubles' with king sized bedding, and two are 'Twins' with two single sized beds.
The resort’s restaurant serves a mix of western and asian food, and the poolside bar is the perfect place to head after a day in the mountains.
Yoga mats, blocks and straps are available for daily rent - and the resort has its own Lao herbal steam sauna which is open and free of charge to guests in the evenings (perfect in the winter months when the evenings are surprisingly cool here).
The resort is sometimes closed for a few days when it is used by a local yoga group for retreats and it also closed for refurbishments during May and June, when the rainy weather is at its worse.
