You're well located for the various historic sights, including the Sigiriya World Hertitage Site, Pidurangala rock temple & the historic Dambulla cave temple, which are all just a short drive away from Kumbukgaha Villa. The ancient cities of Anuradhapura & Polonnaruwa are around an hour away, and Minneriya National Park, famous for the elephant gathering, is close enough to visit for a half day safari. Kumbukgaha Villa is also surrounded by scenic trails that lead to quaint villages, temples & beautiful agricultural lakes – easily accessible to explore by foot or bike.
