We loved the design of this hotel when we visited! It is a wonderful and groundbreaking building with great spaces inside and excellent service. One of our favourite luxury choices in Patagonia!
Remota is strategically located on a virgin land of more than 50.000 m2, in front of the Last Hope Sound fjord, distant enough from Puerto Natales (2.5 km) to experience the Patagonian stillness and its silence. The building is around 7000 square meters offering 72 rooms of 33 square metres each, and extensive communal areas with high ceilings and great windows to let the outside landscapes in to give you a sense to be at one with nature. The hotel also has a temperate pool, sauna, jacuzzis, souvenir shop and a bar. Remota’s kitchen is of great level, where the resident chef has designed a menu that contemplates the best local sea foods, exotic meats from the zone, organic vegetables hand picked in nearby ecologic gardens, (with alternative for guests with special requirements) all accompanied by the best Chilean wines and a great variety of pastries and baked goods made in our own bakery.
The 72 rooms are unique and spacious, all of them with a privileged view of the mountains, fjords, and glaciers. Designed and decorated with the intention of approaching and introducing our guests in a Patagonian environment, utilizing noble materials, aromatic native wood and the best equipment and products to permit total rest and disconnection. There are 36 double with big king size beds and 36 with two queen beds. The rooms’ decor was conceived to be reminiscent of a sheep herd, which is why there are black and white rooms, since each herd always has a black sheep!
You can book Remota on a Bed and Breakfast, Half Board or All Inclusive basis. The latter will include all your meals and a menu of excursions depending on your interests and fitness level, as well as return transfers from and to Punta Arenas airport.
