Hacienda de Molinos is a journey back in time to the colonial past. It has a great amount of charm and it is one of our favourites places to rest at the end of a long journey driving through the stunning scenery of Argentina's north west.

Hacienda de Molinos is a mandatory stop on any tour round the CalchaquĆ Valleys.

This traditional hacienda, which dates back to the 18th century and was home to the last governor of Salta appointed by the King of Spain, has been refurbished to provide you with all comfort expected from a 21st century hotel, while preserving the essence and typical features of colonial times.

The patio shaded with the pepper tree, the thick walls made of adobe, the iron window bars and the ceilings made of carob tree and reed are some of the enchanting details the hotel offers, which mark its character and take the visitors on a journey to the past.

The 18 rooms at Hacienda de Molinos have been categorized into standard and superior. Every room has heating and a private bathroom equipped with a bathtub, a shower and a hairdryer.

Like the rooms from the 18th century, all hotel rooms are spacious and the ceilings made of carob trees and carved rafters add tons of character.

At Molinos you may enjoy all-time flavours, authentic and farm recipes made from regional ingredients, with the mark of signature cuisine and the authenticity of local chefs at the Hacienda. The best labels of the CalchaquĆ Valleys have been included in the hotel's wine selection.

Hacienda de Molinos gastronomic offer includes regional food, dishes with Andean ingredients, classical recipes and international cuisine. The empanadas and bread are baked in a mud oven, as was customary in colonial times.
