A true working Patagonian ranch for an unforgettable experience! In an astounding setting, with only few rooms for guests, here you can live the true spirit of Patagonia!

At the end of the 19th century, this ranch was born, as part of the Sociedad Explotadora Tierra del Fuego, the largest livestock network in the history of Chilean Patagonia. It preserves and still uses the houses and facilities built from their origin, rescuing this cultural heritage of great value.

Forged by European pioneers, with 100,000 hectares, it is today the largest in the region, with one of the largest livestock masses and crop extensions in this area.

Some pastures have been improved with forage to improve their livestock capacity to supplement livestock in winter when conditions require it. This improvement of the grasslands has also generated an increase in native fauna given the greater availability of food. This is how in the areas of improved grasslands you can see numerous individuals of guanacos, rheas, caiquenes, etc.

Livestock management is done respecting the preservation of natural grasslands, avoiding over-cutting and consequent erosion. One of the main objectives of current work is to achieve coexistence between livestock and wildlife.

The care of the livestock is carried out by baqueanos or gauchos who travel the countryside on horseback with dogs trained to surround the livestock. They also have protective dogs, which are a fundamental part of protecting livestock.

The territory has an exceptional variety of native flora and fauna given its condition as a biological corridor with the Torres del Paine National Park. Along with the various species of animals such as the Puma, Gray Fox, Chingue, Rhea, Guanaco and the Condor that can be frequently observed in the surroundings, there is also an incredible diversity of plants and flowers.

It is located 40 km from the border of the Torres del Paine National Park, and travellers can easily explore the Chilean Patagonia and partake in various outdoor activities.

On the slopes of Cerro Guido, we rescue the houses built by pioneers in 1920 so that you can live an authentic and cozy experience in a place where time stops to provide peace and tranquility.

The lodge invites you to disconnect and enjoy the beautiful views of the landscapes that surround you, touring their garden and orchard. Enjoy a tea, card game or a good book in one of their three cozy living rooms, where you can also find interesting information about Patagonia, its history and nature.

The estate features a mouthwatering restaurant as well as 12 comfortable superior rooms with a private bathroom and bath tub.
