M'hamid is where the paved road ends and the charm of the Erg Chigaga begins. The tall dunes lie within a wilderness where the only accommodation is in desert camps.
Located 50km into the desert are the Big Dunes of Erg Chigaga. Secluded and offering stunning views this camp is equipped with traditional Berber tents. Camel rides, trekking and sand boarding are some of the on-site activities.
All tents are decorated with Berber rugs and equipped with mattresses or beds. Tents have a shared bathroom and toilet. A continental breakfast is served daily. You are invited to enjoy the panoramic views of the desert or simply relax in the Berber-style lounge. The staff organize guided excursions in the surroundings.
