Elegant villas, suites, and white sand beaches on a private island in Coron.
There are four room types available: Garden and Oceanview Suites and Sunrise and Sunset Villas. All rooms have a clean aesthetic that allows the beautiful surroundings to take centre stage. Garden Suites are comfortable for two although an extra bed can be added for a child. These have either two twin or one king bed, and a private balcony or veranda with a garden view. Interconnecting rooms are available. Oceanview Suites offer more space and have either two queen beds or one king plus a day bed making this a more comfortable option for a family. For those who wish to minimise stairs or walking on sand to reach their room, ground level Oceanview Suites are the best option in the hotel.
Villas are set in two areas: sunrise and sunset. Within each grouping, there are Standard, Deluxe, and Premier villas. In the Sunrise area, Standard and Deluxe are the same size with different views, outdoor space, and location. Sunrise Premier villas offer stunning sunrise views and can sleep four with extra space and a day bed. Sunset villas are our favourites as these sit on a private beach with the lush rainforest behind and take their name seriously - these are sunsets you won't soon forget! Standard Sunset villas have one queen bed and are quite small while Deluxe have two queen or one king. The upgrade to Deluxe is really worth it! Premier Sunset villas have one king bed plus daybeds making these a great family option.
Firefish Restaurant is open all day with a menu of local and international favourites. A variety of herbs are grown on-site and appear with local seafood on the menu. Dugong Bar opens mid-day and comes alive at sunset with a variety of drinks and places to relax or play a game of darts, billiards, or foosball. The new Sinag restaurant (opened at the end of 2024) offers an exclusively Filipino menu in a bright, airy space.
Discovery Coron sits on Dimakya Island and is reached by a boat ride of 30-45 minutes from mainland Coron. A variety of activities including island hopping, visits to Barracuda and Kayangan Lakes, Twin Lagoon, sunset sails and more can be arranged. From December through February, the island becomes a turtle sanctuary with turtles coming ashore to lay eggs. These eggs are protected and if you're here during hatching, you can join the staff and help release the babies into the sea.
