This beautifully renovated riad is a perfect haven away from the hustle and bustle of the Marrakech medina. With excellent levels of comfort, service and local cuisine, it would make a perfect stay in Morocco's number one destination city.
Five of the rooms are located on the first floor of the main house overlooking the main patio with a small corridor accessing the Olida Suite (6th room). The original douriya apartment is now the Dome Suite (7th room) which has a separate access from the entrance hall and has a private sitting room with original antique painted ceiling and fireplace. It also has a private terrace overlooking the main terrace, accessed by the main stairs with sunloungers and a parasol for shade. The Olida Suite also has it's own private terrace accessed by a stairway from the main bedroom.
On the ground floor is the T-shaped dipping/plunge pool as well as some generous entertaining spaces - a well-stocked library, air-conditioned salon and dining room/breakfast room, both with fireplaces - perfect for the cooler nights. The large roof terrace is ideal for breakfast, lunch or dinner and has an elevated shaded seating area with panoramic views over the medina. There is also plenty of room for sunbathing with sunloungers and parasols and an open fireplace, ideal for a romantic dinner. All the bathrooms have showers with Italian fittings and are finished in a local polished plaster called tadelakt.
A cook is on hand to offer guests a wide selection of Moroccan dishes, including delicious salads, the local speciality "Tangia" and "mechoui" lamb made specially by the hotel's head chef.
The riad is located in the Kaat Bennahid district of the medina, near to the Museum of Marrakech and a 10-15 minute walk from the main square, Djemma El Fna. Also, close by is Le Foundouk Restaurant (2 minutes), Maison de la Photographie (3 mins) and Medersa Ben Youssef (4 mins).
