Set amongst the dappled shade of 500-year old ebony trees, Pioneer Camp has only three luxury suites with en suite bathrooms, air-conditioned bedrooms with lounge and views of the Sand River. Rooms are luxury and the bathrooms are Victorian with marble, chrome and mahogany finishes. Bathrooms have indoor and outdoor showers. Spacious rooms have an entrance hall decorated to give a Ralph Lauren feel and lead into the lounge and bedroom area. Wooden decks over look the reserve with private plunge pools.

Londolozi Pioneer Camp is unique in that whilst only offering 3 suites, they can be adapted allowing the camp to accommodate larger family groups of up to 12 persons (8 adults and 6 children) creating a private bush home. Two of the rooms have glass sky walks joining the rooms together.

The lodge has a private, intimate feel and the main lodge has comfortable loungers to relax in the day. Soak up the sun on the large deck that overlooks the reserve or enjoy an afternoon sundowner. Decor is old English Colonial with a contemporary African style. The dining area, kitchen and lounge are open plan giving a feeling of space. The lodge has a feeling of family and tradition with restored memorabilia's and photos throughout the lodge of bygone eras and depecting history of the Sabi Sand Reserve.

Couples and families with children over the age of 4 years are welcome at Londolozi Pioneer Camp. As the Sabi Sand Private Reserve is a big five game reserve, children under 6 years old are not permitted on game drives for safety reasons unless a private, sole use vehicle is booked.

Londolozi traverses a 16 000 hectare area of prime game viewing in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve and experienced guides and their 'faithful' tracker will share their knowledge of the bush with you. The Sabi Sand Pivate Game Reserve is famous for its excellent leopard sightings as well as other predators. Your stay here will give you one of the best opportunities to be able to see the big five on safari in South Africa, however it is nature and what animals you do see is never guaranteed.

Access to Londolozi Pioneer Camp is possible with daily direct flights from Johannesburg into the Sabi Sands Private Reserve or alternatively you can combine a stay here with a self-drive of the greater Kruger area.
