The Safari Lodge is luxurious and well-appointed with prime views over the reserve. The eleven thatched huts are the perfect escape for 22 guests, situated a little away from the main lodge. The spacious ‘stand-alone’ huts offer absolute privacy and are completed with a private plunge pool and separate lounge area. The rooms have larges beds with mosquito nets and en-suite bathroom with double bath, facing the breath-taking valley below as well as the busy waterhole where numerous animals roam.

The main lodge is also beautifully thatched and guests are more than welcome to get together for a chat or just relax and enjoy the comfortable furniture or use the coffee and tea making stations.

The Amakhala Game Reserve is known for its stunning beauty and the incredible amount of wildlife that call the malaria-free Eastern Cape bush home. Amakhala houses the renowned Big 5, which is made up of elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo, but is also home to zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, antelope, cheetah, warthogs and a stunning array of colourful birds, that can be heard chirping and fluttering overhead, providing a soundtrack to your safari.
