Lion Sands Tinga Lodge offers nine Private Suites which can accommodate 18 guests. Each luxury suite is located in a private spot, overlooking the river and offering an en-suite bathroom with in-door and out-door shower, separate lounge area with minibar, air conditioning and private deck with plunge pool

The thatched cathedral-like entrance leads through to the colonial comfort lounge, which opens onto the massive wooden deck overlooking the Sabie River. The viewing deck is built around an enormous, over 200 years old, Jackal-berry tree with great views over the river, resident wildlife, including members of the Big Five, are regularly seen. Tinga Lodge offers timeless quality, where you can get lost in a moment and take the time to enjoy this piece of Africa on the banks of the Sabie River.

The Tinga lodge welcomes couples and families with children over the age of 10 years old.

Specified inclusive safari activities are Game Drives, Bush Walks, Hippo Tour, Astronomy, Wildlife Lectures, Bush Breakfasts, Picnic Lunches and Bush Dinners.

Guests staying at anyone one of the Lion Sands Reserve properties can spoil themselves to a unique outdoor 'sleep out' under the African stars in either Chalkley’s Treehouse, Tinyeleti Treehouse or Kingston Treehouse, all with all the comforts and luxuries possible from a mosquito net, mattress, linen, bedside table, toilet and bush vanity table. The Treehouses at Lion Sands are great for a romantic night, for guests who love an adventure or to just disconnect and enjoy the sounds of the bush. The Treehouses can be pre-booked by couples or single persons. All of the Treehouses at Lion Sands Treehouses are securely constructed above the ground, where animals will remain at a safe and comfortable distance.
There is an extra charge for this 'once in a life time' experience and includes Meze-style picnic dinner, all beverages and tea & coffee plus snacks. Chalkley Treehouse can accommodate 2 guests, Kingston & Tinyeleti can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children betwwen 10-15 years of age. Lion Sands is a private game reserve within the Sabi Sands and in a private concession of the Kruger National Park. These reserves overlap, creating one of the densest concentrations of game in Southern Africa. Lion Sands is fortunate enough to be situated in the heart of both of these reserves, in a prime wildlife viewing location, thus ensuring guests have a truly fascinating African safari. Wildlife found in the reserve include the renowned Big 5 (lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, buffalo) as well as a variety of other animals including zebra, antelope (and various other buck), cheetah, hippo, jackal, hyena, warthog and baboon. A plethora of birds and reptiles are also found within the bushland. Bush walks are an amazing way to experience nature and truly appreciate the beauty of the South African bushland. The guides are trained to show guests the best route and the best chances of discovering unique and beautiful wildlife.
