Guests are accommodated in 24 log chalets that are air conditioned with private viewing decks overlooking the reserve. Each has a spacious lounge, living area and fire place. The chalets have a bar fridge and telephone. There are 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom and 4 bedroom chalets to accommodate families and couples travelling together.
The main lodge area is built to take advantage of the sweeping views into the valley below which is a popular grazing area for plains animals. Meals are enjoyed in the dining area or outside in the boma under the African night sky. Enjoy a drink at the bar or soak up the sun by the pool. Kariega Main Lodge has a relaxed atmosphere.

Your stay at Kariega Game Reserve includes all meals and two daily game drives. During your stay you can also enjoy a boat cruise on either the Bushmans or Kariega River.
Kariega Private Game Reserve is a proudly, family owned reserve and is home to the big five. Experienced game rangers will share their knowledge of the bush with you. You can expect to see elephant, lion, rhino, giraffe, zebra, warthog and a variety of antelope. The Kariega Game Reserve is located in a diverse landscape from rolling plains to bushy areas opening into open plains.
Nearby is the unspoilt beaches of Kenton On Sea where you can soak up the sun and enjoy the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Day safaris to the beaches are possible or you can extend your stay for a few nights extra to enjoy a real 'bush & beach' safari holiday.
Access to Kariega Main Lodge is possible with daily flights from Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg to Port Elizabeth.
