Zanzibar Palace is a place which lives up to its name. Stay here and you can enjoy the luxurious surroundings of its suites and sumptuous rooms. There are two luxury rooms, five suites and two palace suites. Each one has a style of its own and is extravagantly decorated with Persian rugs, silk cushions, bedspreads and drapes and well-appointed bathrooms with either bath/and or shower. All rooms have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, mosquito nets, safe, TV and DVD player, internet connection and 24 hour room service from the bar. One room even has its own private sun deck overlooking the roof-tops of Stone Town.

Dining at Zanzibar Palace is excellent. The food is beautifully presented and delicious. Breakfast includes full cooked breakfast, continental breakfast and local produce. Lunch is always available but you must reserve in advance for dinner. You can have coffee (real!) and tea throughout the day in the lounge and bar areas.

Zanzibar Palace is in just the right place for you to explore the old town of Zanzibar’s capital. Taxis can drive right up to the front of the hotel so you don’t need to worry about getting your bags there. (Do make sure you get to the right place as a couple of newer hotels with similar names are located nearby.)

This is a wonderful place to stay and is very reminiscent of the riads of Morocco.
