Each cottage is spacious and colourfully decorated and has a modern en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, flush toilet and hand basin. There are traditional wooden Zanzibari beds with mosquito nets. Every cottage has its own veranda with a view over the turquoise seas beyond.
The 26 cottages are available as 20 deluxe rooms, 4 suites with an extra rooftop terrace and 2 baobab suites with an open air bathroom. There is a good open sided restaurant and bar serving a good range of international and local dishes.
Fumba Beach Lodge is well set up for water based activities. There is a PADI diving centre for excellent diving, as well as snorkelling, wind surfing, kayaking and dhow cruises. There is also a lovely swimming pool and is you feel that you can’t walk too far for refreshments, there is a cool beach bar. And if you really want to relax, try the Baobab Spa for a massage or beauty treatment.
