"A place with distinctive character: ideal to kick back at the end of your holiday. The staff were so friendly and helpful in a very relaxed way. We would definitely choose to stay here again. Particularly impressed with the prices of some of the services, such as laundry." - Debbie MW, April 2017

“This was our favourite accommodation. A little haven beautifully decorated and great staff. The jeep into town was a good touch. It was my birthday and the staff made me a cake and sang to me off their own backs which was touching. Attention to detail here was spot on” - Jo S, Jan 2015

Hoi An Chic is a gem of a find. Nestled among rice paddies in a rural village setting, this secluded spot is right in the middle of the ancient town of Hoi An and the sandy beach of Cua Dai beach, each just 2km away.

In a town that attracts tourists from far and wide, this hotel is our top choice for escaping the crowds and feeling like you have discovered a little slice of Hoi An that nobody else knows about.

The hotel, which opened in January 2013, boasts 17 extremely stylish rooms that are wonderfully artistic and quirky. From the unusual Vietnamese paintings on the walls and pots of sugar coated ginger stems in the lobby to the unique wooden shutters that you open if you want your room cleaned, it has all the finishing touches that we adore.

Despite the rural location the rooms are fitted with all the latest mod-cons including air conditioning (hidden behind attractive wooden panels), a flatscreen TV and a laptop for personal use.

The standard Double and Twin Chic rooms, which overlook gardens or rice paddies, are spacious with a handsome bathroom with a separate shower and outside bath tub as well as a balcony or terrace area with seating. The Grand Chic rooms are even more spacious with huge bathrooms and oversized balconies.

Families can opt for interconnecting rooms or take the Family Chic room which has a second room-cum-living space with two small beds in it for children, as well as the master room.

The hotel has a small, funky restaurant/cafe which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, which is equally stylish. It also has a small roof top swimming pool with limited sun loungers on the top of the property, which gets top marks for its rice paddy views.

An added bonus is that the regular shuttle bus to Hoi An (which takes the form of a US army jeep used during the war), and is also available for local tours and excursions via the hotel. The jeep runs guests into town and back six times a day. Free bicycles are also available to hire from the hotel and with it just being 2km from the gorgeous old town of Hoi An (home to hundreds of tailors - no exaggeration), and 2km from the beach, a bicycle is an ideal way to get around independently. The hotel also offer free buffalo-cart rides in the surrounding countryside.
