This traditional hotel is set inside the walls of Khiva’s historical fortress, Itchan Qala, and is overlooked by Islam Khoja Minaret. Some of the rooms have views over the beautiful minaret and the buzzing square, where locals come and sell local goods in the bazaar. The location is incredible, as you’ll feel right in the heart of Khiva, and you can experience an authentic taste of the area inside the hotel too, with the interior design, cuisine and wines giving you a flavour of local life.

The hotel is also just a few steps from the Djuma Mosque, its vast open-air hall supported by wooden pillars. Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum and the imposing Alla Kuki Khan Madrasah are within a five-minute walk of the hotel, too.

The hotel has its own restaurant and a small outdoor terrace area with daybeds decorated in colourful fabrics that double as dining tables, so you can choose to eat outside. There is also a coffee shop at the hotel and 24-hour room service is available if you’d prefer to dine in your room. Rooms are simple, offering satellite TV, a minibar and Wi-Fi.
