The decor at Shanghai Mansion is opulent, with silk upholstery and bedding, ornamental blossom trees inside the rooms, antique Chinese four-poster beds, birds cages in bathrooms and red and lilac painted walls. It's kind of romantic and yet wonderfully kitsch at the same time! With historic significance as one of the first nine-story buildings of the Chinatown Community, this building was one of the district's early important architectural landmarks.

The hotel has three restaurants. The Cotton Restaurant serves a mix of buffet and a la carte breakfast from 6.30am - 10.30am, and is also open for lunch.
