Vakkaru sits in a secluded spot within UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Baa Atoll, just a 30 minute scenic seaplane flight from Malé.

Here you'll find wide sandy beaches and endless coconut palms. The snorkelling is excellent, with good spots surrounding the island.

You'll find 5 restaurants on the island, and can use the half-board dine around package at all of them. Each restaurant has its own identity and theme. There is an Italian restaurant by the large pool, an Asian-fusion restaurant, the Vakku Grill, and an adult-only Lagoon Bar serving sushi and cocktails.

Snorkelling is unmissable here, especially being so close to Hanifaru Bay, but there is also water-sports, a spa, tennis courts, a kids club and a games room.
