This newly opened resort has 48 luxurious eco-friendly chalets set in a 10-acre estate tucked between the vast Indian Ocean and a lagoon filled with colourful birds.

Each chalet is decked out in a modern design but made with indigenous materials as to appear born of the jungle, fitting in with its natural surroundings. All offer spectacular views of the ocean, garden or lagoon and are tucked away among luscious foliage, offering utmost seclusion and privacy.

Each cabin is detached and features a king size bed, sofa seating area, high-end entertainment systems, private decks and outdoor rain showers. The Lagoon Cabins are the lowest in price, following the Lagoon View Cabins; both are in one storey units, with the Lagoon Cabins downstairs and Lagoon View on the first floor. They are located at the front of the property next to the road, whereas the Jungle Cabins, which cost a little more are individual bungalows dotted around the grounds. There is a private cluster of Jungle Cabins (three in total) which share a private garden and pool, which are ideal for a family group or three couples. The Beach villas are fantastic and have direct access to the beach.

The resort also boasts a spa, gym, poolside bar and an open-air restaurant with a number of elegant signature-dining options on open decks on the beach and in the trees.

The resort is located in Trincomalee, just 27 km from Trincomalee Bus and Railway Station and 35km from China Bay Airport.

There is plenty to do in the area and excursions can be easily arranged from the tourist desk at Jungle Beach, including fishing trips, whale watching, snorkelling, scuba diving and canoeing ventures among others. Nearby activities also include visiting the ancient Kanniyai hot springs, taking a walk around the Dutch Fort Frederick in Trincomalee and visiting the ancient Koneswaram kovil on Swamy Rock.
