"Possibly one of the most idyllic spots left on this planet. Extremely comfortable and every little necessity taken care of by a delightful team of staff. Every meal,of which there are plenty, carefully planned and presented. Beware of coming home a few kgs heavier. A trip into the fort part of Galle town is a must, lovely shops and not a brand name in site - "heaven" Unfortunately we were not there long enough to take the bike trail nor the whale watching so look forward to going back again... We left feeling totally spoilt and would truly love to repeat the experience." FK 2013

"This house was magnificent. I've never stayed in such a wonderful place before. The furnishings were lovely, the bathrooms were twice the size of my bedroom at home, the location was brilliant - beach outside the back gate and a short auto ride to restaurants, bars and Galle - and the staff were attentive, professional, thoughtful and caring. All the meals were delicious, our laundry was done and we had a magical time. And for all this, we paid less than any of the hotels we stayed at in Colombo. I would absolutely stay there again and recommend Auraliya." TAS 2013

The accommodation has been arranged in a courtyard shape around the sumptuous swimming pool. The pool has fibre optics embedded into its base, invisible by day they twinkle like stars at night. There are four double rooms and two twin rooms which have high ceilings and a light airy feel. They all have large en-suite bathrooms tastefully decorated with white terrazzo and fitted with double hand basins, shower, and heated towel rails.

The Master Bedroom has a large bath tub and two of the main bedrooms look out through large windows over the ocean. The remaining rooms face the swimming pool. All rooms have air-conditioning and four poster beds fitted with mosquito nets and window seats. Four of the bedrooms are fitted with electronic safes and all bed headboards are lockable.

Living and accommodation areas are arranged around three large pavilions. The first provides a formal dining area with stunning views over the azure swimming pool in the garden to the glittering Indian Ocean beyond. Seating is flexible - either one large table for everyone or two separate configurations for adults and children. The choice is yours and the staff are more than happy to accommodate your changing requirements. In addition there is an air-conditioned sitting room, a chill out alamba-style pavilion where breakfast and lunch can be served or in the evening watch the sun go down with a cocktail before dinner.

Auraliya comes fully staffed including a manager, private chef, houseboys and a night watchman who will take care of you during your stay. Meal plans will be discussed with you and prepared accordingly. The chef will operate a float system with you and all food is charged at cost making it extremely reasonable.

The wonderful reef-protected beach offers endless opportunities for beach fun and the garden is perfect for games of football and cricket. Or you can just sit, read and enjoy the view.

In nearby Unawatuna and Mirissa you can enjoy sailing, fishing, coastal cruises, river trips, sea kayaking, snorkeling, and boating. At Weligama you can go surfing for a couple of hours where local instructors and boards may be hired by the hour. Koggala Lake with its many islands inhabited with several species of birds is another wonderful experience. Day trips can be organized to Sinharaha Rainforest and Yala National Park, as well as whale watching and trips to the local turtle hatcheries.

This villa is sometimes home to two lovely dogs. They know they are not allowed in the bedrooms, and many welcome them staying. However it is easily arranged for them to live elsewhere for the duration of your stay.
