There are 10 en suite bedrooms tucked into the bush alongside the Mabrak River, where guests will love the sense of adventure as they cross the swing bridges between exquisite tree house rooms, created and inspired by local and natural materials, with elephant, bushbuck, lion and other local wildlife passing by. The Safari Room: This room can be interconnected with the Safari Suite to create a two bedroom suite. It offers a viewing deck and en-suite bathroom with great views. If the Safari Suite is interconnected with the Safari Room, it can sleep up to 4 guests.

Elephant Room (x3): Built tree house style, these spacious 60 sqm rooms are high above the bush with a large viewing deck offering great vistas over the bush.
River Room (x4): Tree house style and private plus spacious (100 sqm) with 2 of the rooms boasting private infinity plunge pools. Some of the rooms are closer to the main lodge.
Treehouse Suite (x1): Very spacious (160 sqm) and private featuring a private deck with views over Xikwenga Dam with its resident hippos. There is also a large viewing deck adjacent to the room, ideal for private dining for up to 16 people. Located a 10 min walk from the main lodge and accessible by swing bridges and raised walkways.

All rooms are equipped with a well-stocked complimentary mini bar with snacks, tea and coffee-making facilities, bottled water, safety deposit box, Bose or iPod station, hairdryer, spray-on insect repellent, Africology toiletries, bathrobes and slippers. All rooms have air-conditioning, ceiling fans and mosquito nets as well as en-suite bathrooms and a terrace or balcony.

The main lodge is the central area where everyone congregates and offers an inviting pool to cool down, a viewing deck or why not indulge in the tempting Aroma Boma spa, enjoying great bush views during your treatment.

There is a gymnasium to work off the good food or pick a wine from the wine cellar to enjoy with your dinner. There is also a bush observatory, perfect for gazing the clear night skies or try some tennis.

Meals are always a creative affair and dinners are enjoyed either in a dining area or a moon-lit bush dinner making the most of the fresh outdoors.

Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve is a big five (lion, rhino, elephant, leopard, buffalo) private game reserve adjacent to Kruger National Park. There are no fence lines between the two parks so animals traverse freely. In addition to the big five, you can expect to see giraffe, hippo, kudu, zebra, wildebeest and a large variety of antelope.

Access to Ulusaba Safari Lodge is easy with a number of options from daily direct flights from Johannesburg directly to the reserve, alternatively you can fly directly from Cape Town or Johannesburg into a nearby national airport and we can arrange car hire or a private road transfer to the lodge. Alternatively we can arrange a completely private flight directly to the reserve or if you have more time then include a few nights here combined with some touring of the greater Kruger area.
