The Mkuze Falls Private Game Reserve offers guests the choice of either the luxury Game Lodge, or the Mkuze Falls Tented Camp.
The Game Lodge is located on the northern bank of the Mkuze River, overlooking the Mkuze Waterfall. There are nine luxury thatched chalets, accommodating a maximum of 18 guests.
Each chalet has a secluded plunge pool and outside shower. The exclusive Safari Suite is the ulitmate in luxury and comfort with added extras. All en suite chalets have private viewing decks, telephones, room safes, overhead fans & air-conditioning, mosquito nets, mini bars.
Meals are served from the lounge viewing deck, indoor dinning room or the traditional outdoor boma. After lunch enjoy a swim in the communial lodge pool, or relax in privacy at your chalet.
Mkuze Falls Tented Lodge offers guests accommodation in a choice of 5 unique 'Hemingway" style East African tents. Each tent is positioned over-looking a game waterhole. All en suite tents have private viewing decks with views over the Mkuze River. Tents are equipped with mini bar, room safe, overhead fan & air-conditioning, mosquito nets, private showers and Victorian baths.
Enjoy meals from the guest lounge/dinning area or around the outdoor boma.
During a stay at either of the lodges guests will enjoy a full safari experience with morning and evening game drives on open landrovers with experienced game rangers. All meals are included in your stay.
The Mkuze Falls Private Game Reserve is home to lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo, cheetah, hippo and a variety of plains antelope. Excellant for bird-lovers, the wetlands region of Mkuze is home to over 400 species of birds like the African Fish Eagle and the exlusive Narina Trogon, to mention only two.
A great game experience for honeymooners, couples and families with children over the age of 12 years old.
Mkuze Falls Private Reserve is easliy included into a holiday exploring Natal and only 2½ hours from the Battlefields. The lodge can be used as a stop over between Kruger and an onward journey to the Drakensberg or Natal North Coast. We will be able to assist you with the itinerary planning.
Access to the lodge is possible by either self-drive, transfers from Durban or Richards Bay.
