There are 16 spacious suites, offering all you would expect in a luxury lodge with a modern African touch and lovely river views where you can see animals come to drink. The suites are joined to the main lodge by raised walk ways. Two of the suites are ultra luxury and also boast a private pool, dining room and a second bathroom.

All suites are air-conditioned, with overhead fans, safes, mini bars, as well as tea and coffee facilities. Private decks leading out towards the river provide the ideal place to relax or enjoy bird spotting and game viewing in peace and tranquillity.

The main lodge is joined with wooden walk ways with open wooden decks to make the most of the view across the Lwakahle river. Enjoy a drink at the bar or relax on the wooden deck in the afternoons. There is a swimming pool where you can get some relief from the warm sunny days.

Meals are enjoyed in the dining area or outside in the boma under the African night sky.

Lukimbi Safari Lodge is a family friendly lodge and welcomes families with children over the age of 2 years old. Baby sitting is available and there is a kiddies programme to entertain the children as well as a supervised play room. As the Kruger is a big five safari park for safety reasons families with children under 8 years old would need to book a private land rover for game drives should they want the children to join. Your stay at Lukimbi Safari Lodge includes all meals and 2 daily game drives and a safari bush walk. During the cooler months guests who enjoy walking and would like to experience the thrill of seeing animals on foot can book a full day walking safari with qualified rangers (additional charge). This would need to be pre-arranged with us at the time of booking.

The private concession of Kruger is a 15 000 hectare reserve with free roaming animals and home to the big five (lion, rhino, leopard, elephant and buffalo) as well as a variety of other game ranging from cheetah, hyena, zebra, giraffe, hippo, implala, kudu to mention the most common as well as a variety of birdlife.

Access to Lukimbi Safari Lodge is possible with daily direct flights from Johannesburg International Airport (OR Tambo) to the Kruger Mpumalanga Airport and from here we can arrange a transfer to the lodge or you can hire a car.
