Jaci's Safari Lodge consists of eight rooms plus the exclusive 2-bedroom Nare Suite. All rooms are built using 'shaggy' thatch with an open plan bathroom and handmade rock bath and outdoor shower. All rooms have private viewing decks overlooking a small stream where animals come to quench their thirst.

The main lodge area is built around an ancient termite mound (unoccupied!) and offers a spacious lounge, open plan dining area and upstairs bar. Dinners can be enjoyed under the stars in the enclosed boma in African style with open fires.

The exclusive Nare suite accommodates a maximum of 4 guests and is suited to clients looking for a private safari experience with your own guide and safari vehicle. Rooms are open plan with a handmade rock bath and outdoor shower. Viewing decks encompass a swimming pool and overlooks a waterhole. Equipped with a self-contained kitchen, chefs prepare meals for you in the luxury of your retreat.

Jaci's Tree Lodge offers eight rooms built around either a Leadwood or Tambotie Tree. The 'tree houses' are built in a riverine forest, raised on stilts up to 4 metres from the ground. An open plan, en suite bathroom with large stone bath and outdoor "jungle" shower lends an outdoor bathing experience! All the rooms have decks to relax on in the afternoons.

The main lodge has a lounge, dining and bar area as well as an outdoor boma to enjoy evening meals. Raised wooden walkways suspended in the forest canopy, along the banks of the river, connect the rooms to the main lodge area. You can also view the sister lodge, Jaci's Tree Lodge which is uniquely perched in the trees overlooking a riverbed.

Children of all ages are welcome at Jaci's and a special safari experience awaits them - with kiddies game drives. Evening meals are prepared a little earlier and child minders take care of them whilst the parents enjoy the game drives. There is also a special kiddies programme which must be requested, and is charged a little extra, teaching children bush craft, animal tracking and a lot more exciting African bush secrets. Suitable for children between ages of 3 - 12 years.

During your stay at any of Jaci's Lodges you will enjoy morning and evening game drives, game walks and all meals.

Madikwe Game Reserve is 75 000 hectares and located only a 3 hour drive or 1 hour flight from Johannesburg. Home to the Big Five, namely; lion, elephant, leopard, rhino (black & white) and buffalo. In addition to these popular varieties, the reserve is also home to wild dog, cheetah, giraffe, and a large variety of plains antelope - including the Sable, Gemsbok (Oryx) and Springbok.

Accessibility is easy with the option of either a self-drive to the lodge, or direct flights from Johannesburg International Airport. Jacis is a great choice, offering a malaria free, family friendly safari option.
