There are 6 luxury tents overlooking a dry riverbed - each with a wooden deck and complete with a hammock for extra relaxation. Rooms are all en suite and spacious. There is an indoor and outdoor shower for those who would like to really feel close to nature.

Garonga Safari Camp strives to offer a real 'soul safari' at an unhurried pace allowing you to really relax, and enjoy the tranquil bush surrounds. The lodge finishes are natural with sitting areas to relax or cool off in the pool.

Meals are varied and accompanied with a great selection of South African wines to compliment the culinary skills of the resident chef.

The Makalali Concession is home to 4 of the big five (no buffalo) as well as cheetah, hippo, hyena as well as a wide variety of plains antelope and excellent birding opportunities. Game viewing is good and the reserve offers some lovely vistas. For those wishing to have an opportunity to see the big five, it is easy to combine with a few nights in either the Timbavati or Sabi Sands Private Reserves.
