Bird Island is the most northerly island of the Seychelles archipelago and is situated 65 miles from the main island of Mahé. A 30 minute flight by light aircraft gives the first stunning impressions of this coral cay, with its lush green interior, surrounded by over 5 Kilometres of fine white coral sand beaches, and lapped by turquoise clear waters.

Bird Island, Seychelles is home to thousands of tropical birds, giant land tortoises, and breath-taking marine life – a treasure trove for nature lovers. The emphasis is very much on relaxation and informality where visitors can appreciate the conservation of wildlife in the most beautiful, tranquil setting and escape the hassles and chaos of ordinary life. Bird Island, Seychelles features an eco-lodge of 24 simple but comfortable individual chalets, nestled among the remaining coconut palms of the island's old plantation.

The chalets are dotted along the western coast of the island, overlooking the natural parkland and on, to the turquoise clear waters.
Simplicity is the keyword at Bird Island Lodge, there is no air conditioning, no fridges, telephones or televisions in the rooms so that power usage per chalet may be kept to a minimum

At the centre of the lodge is a restaurant, bar and lounge offering a pleasant and cool daytime retreat. All meals are served in the open-sided restaurant, overlooking the lawn towards the sea.
In keeping with the island’s approach to offering an authentic island experience, the cuisine is fresh and wholesome and is served by the lodge’s 100% Seychellois team. Fish caught from our surrounding waters and organic home grown fruits and vegetables supplement the restaurant’s tasty meals.

Bird Island offers a variety of activities to guests - Educating its visitors about their natural surrounds, encounters with 100 year old tortoises, turtles, dolphins and other amazing marine life; paddling across the island's shores and taking in the mesmerising scenery, or the choice of just unwinding on the powder soft beaches.
