Built in a former cacao and rubber plantation, on the grounds of what was back in the 50’s “Fundo Concepción”, the lodge is located in an enchanting and serene lush setting within 819 hectares of natural rainforest. The rainforest acts as a buffer zone between the Tambopata National Park Reserve and the shores of the vast Madre de Dios river, making the location of this new lodge quite unique and wonderfully remote yet very accessible. Hacienda Concepcion offers two different kinds of accommodations: Cabanas and Rooms. Decorated in the new Amazon style with two twin or one king bed, mosquito nets, curtains, 100% cotton bedding, bathrooms with hot water, natural essence toiletries; also, light in the bathroom. For you comfort, reading lights, outlets, ceiling fan, and a sitting area.
The Cabanas are a relaxing setting, ideal for couples, private and separate from the main building; the sitting area includes a hammock and every cabaña has a view to the forest and some of them face the cocha, oxbow lake. The Rooms are spacious and ideal for families or group of friends; housed in one big Amazon-style architecture house.
Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción has 2 main social areas in the Casa Grande. The first floor has 16 dining tables and a bar. The second floor has a scenic lounge.
There’s an all-day dining restaurant, that is included in the Hacienda’s full board program and serves nutritious meals that are mainly prepared with organic and local farm products with special regional seasoning. Meals include vegetarian options. There’s tea time, cocktail hour and a Bar.
There are many activities provided for an additional by Hacienda Concepcion such as cooking classes, treasure hunts and Spa treatments. Located only 8 kilometers / 25 minutes down river from Puerto Maldonado, Hacienda Concepción can only be reached by taking a scenic canoe ride from the town.
