Fleewinter

This accommodation is located just a few kilometres out of Wanaka in the beautiful Albert Town. The rooms are spacious and quiet with great new facilities, and each has a small private patio area to sit and enjoy a sunny afternoon. There is a separate two-bedroom apartment with full self-catering facilities, which is ideal for families or couples travelling together.

Your hosts, Lynda and Mike, gave up their city life in Wellington where Mike was formerly Head of the New Zealand Fire Service, and headed south for a change in lifestyle. They have been kept busier than ever running the lodge but wouldn’t change it for anything. They both love having guests to stay and are great entertainers.

The town of Wanaka can be reached via a lovely ride along the river and lakeside on bikes that are available for guest use. If you want to head into town for dinner and a few drinks then Lynda or Mike will happily drop you off. A shuttle is available to bring you home. Alternatively, they are just as happy for you to pick up a take-away and a bottle of wine and relax in the dining room of the lodge.

After an action packed day filled with adventurous activities such as hiking, mountain biking, skiing or perhaps a leisurely afternoon visiting the world renowned Central Otago vineyards, round off the evening with a relaxing soak in the cedar hot tub under the stars.
