This property is one of the oldest homes in the area and is grade II listed. The historic homestead is nestled within 7 acres of park like gardens complete with mature oak and walnut trees and a meandering stream.

There are two choices of accommodation; bed and breakfast in the Garden Suite or self-catering in Adelaide’s Barn. The Garden Suite has a private entrance off the wisteria clad verandah within the old homestead. There is a luxurious bedroom with a queen bed, a private sitting room with French doors opening onto the garden and an en-suite bathroom with shower. Breakfast is served on the verandah or in the cosy farmhouse kitchen and can include seasonal, locally grown fruits, home cured salmon or locally cured bacon with fresh free-range eggs.

Adelaide’s Barn is a delightful option for those that want more privacy. The accommodation consists of a spacious bedroom with high vaulted ceilings and beautiful wooden floorboards and an en-suite bathroom, a separate lounge area and a fully equipped kitchenette. There is a secluded courtyard perfect for al fresco dining. Breakfast provisions are provided and include free-range eggs, muesli, fruit, yoghurt, orange juice, local preserves, home baked bread and butter croissants.

An option for dinner is the generous antipasto platter for two which typically includes local home cured salmon, prawns, smoked meats, fruit and cheese, crackers and bread with locally made chutneys; ideal with a glass of chilled Marlborough wine. There are also restaurants within a short drive away or a BBQ in the garden for guests to use.
