Hawthorne House was originally the home of a Hastings doctor and his family prior to being relocated to its current position in the late 1960s. This beautiful Edwardian villa comprises four luxurious bedrooms, all with en-suites and external access to the covered verandahs and delightful rambling country gardens.

There is a separate guest living room complete with comfy couches surrounding a huge fireplace – the perfect spot to chat over a glass of wine or curl up with a good book. French doors from the dining room and living room open out onto the verandah overlooking the lawn where you might enjoy fresh afternoon baking on arrival, or at the end of a hard day of sight-seeing; a complimentary glass of wine, some nibbles and good conversation.

A sumptuous breakfast is on offer every morning including local fruits, homemade muesli and a full cooked breakfast with ingredients of your choice.

Hawthorne House is just a few minutes’ drive from Hastings and the lovely village of Havelock North. It is a tranquil rural setting but just minutes from some of the region’s best golf courses and vineyards.
