Eliza’s Manor in Christchurch is a beautiful, 19th century rambling home. This grade II historic, wooden house was built by one of the city’s founding fathers and has been restored a number of times since then without losing its period charm.
There are eight rooms which maintain the historic ambience of the hotel but feature modern amenities such as walk-in showers, flat screen TVs and temperature control. The four Heritage rooms also have a bath, complimentary beer and wine, bathrobes and some have a super king sized bed.
Breakfast is included for all rooms and consists of self-serve continental fare plus a cooked to order hot option of your choice. Eliza’s also has a licensed bar onsite for guests to enjoy a drink in the guest lounge or in the lovely courtyard garden before making a short walk into one of the nearby restaurants for dinner.
Eliza’s is located on Bealey Avenue on the outskirts of Christchurch city centre. It is just a 10 to 20 minute flat walk to most of the sights and amenities of the city and 10km from the airport.
