"Dreamy, superb rooms, wonderful beach and sea, very nice food (best granola ever tasted) willing staff and very nice spa." - Sarah R, Dec 2016.

Located by the beautiful Ngapali Beach, Ngapali Bay Villas & Spa offers fantastic ocean views and is the perfect spot to soak up some sun.

Each of the stylish villas, which were designed by highly regarded British architect David Wordsworth, are uniquely furnished with local paintings and antiques. The bright interiors are brimming with fine handwoven cotton and white marble. But what makes this resort really stand out is that every single room has a sea view - which is rarely the case on the beach.

The main different between the four villa types available is their proximity to the beach, but all are equipped with air-conditioning, sofas, DVD players and flat-screen TVs. All boast a sea view - and we love that there is a window in the shower cubicle that allows you to look across the bedroom and out of the main window with the sea view. So you even have a sea view while you shower!

Facing directly onto the golden sands are the eight Deluxe Beach Front Villas with Pavilion, and four Suite Villas with Pavillion, which include a reclining chair to sit back and enjoy the open skies. The Suite Villas however are around double the size of the Deluxe, for a truly luxurious break.

The eight Deluxe Sea View Villas with Plunge are the second closest to the beach also have their own private decks and plunge pool. The resort also has 16 Deluxe Sea View Villas. All villas boast floor to ceiling windows and a view of the ocean. Bathrooms are beautifully decorated and offer double sinks as well as separate showers and bath tubs in all villas.

The Taramind restaurant offers freshly prepared local dishes, including a selection from the catch-of-the-day. Gourmet food is served day and night for wearing jet-lagged travellers. Cocktails can be enjoyed at the restaurant or at a little poolside bar.

If you want some pampering, head to the Frangipani Spa for the best of Eastern and Western massage techniques. Other treatments include facials, aromatherapy and a cooling after-sun therapy.

This is the perfect place to unwind in comfort after a busy day of snorkelling at nearby Pearl Island with its colourful underwater views, boat-tripping or hiking. Art galleries are also close by, and the resort offers shaded sun-loungers on the beach for those looking for a less active holiday.

The resort is a 30-minute drive from Mazin Airport and a 45-minute drive from Thandwe Town. Free parking is available.
