Windermere Estate has a very homely feel with quite simple rooms with warm and welcoming furnishings, perfect for the surroundings as the property doesn’t even need air-conditioning due to the cool mountain mist that surrounds it all day.

The Garden Rooms are the most basic but have large veranda’s where you can enjoy a view of the garden or the valley. They are spacious and clean but I would recommend staying in a cottage room, especially the Cardamon and Vanilla cottages, separate from the main building, for a truly enjoyable stay. If space is what you are after the Planter’s Villa’s at 1,200 sq ft will be perfect for you. With a sitting area, semi-dining area, balcony and large bathroom you will have everything you need.

Dining at the Windermere Estate is a truly pleasant experience as you enjoy the views from ‘The Barn’. The chef serves up meals of a Continental, Oriental and Indian influence as well as family recipes from generations of Syrian Christian Malayali women. Their pride in their gardens and kitchens has influenced all cooking at the property with an assortment of vegetables and fruits grown throughout the year. Alternatively you may like to head to The Hut instead which is a more rustic and informal space.

Fantastic walks can be enjoyed from the property into the surrounding countryside, and a walk up to their viewing platform is a must for spectacular views.

Note: This hotel does not currently hold a license to sell alcohol. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcohol to consume in their rooms if they wish.
