In the morning your private English speaking guide will wait for you at the hotel with a 1950s American classic car driving you to Hemingway’s former Finca Vila Vigia in San Francisco de Paula, now a museum, which contains more than 22,000 original items that belonged to the writer, including records, books, paintings, personal documents, weapons and photographs. Further on to the former fishermen’s village of Cojimar, background for his nobel prize winning novel and the movie “The Old Man And The Sea”. Stroll down to the Hemingway sculpture at the seafront and enjoy a Cocktail “Don Gregorio” (named after the captain of his yacht) at one of his favourite haunts, bar/restaurant “La Terraza”. Back to Old Havana and visit of Hemingway’s „Floridita“, where he invented his famous Daiquiri Cocktail creation, “The Papa”. Have a look at his room 511 at the Hotel Ambos Mundos, where he wrote “For whom the bell tolls” and enjoy the views from the roof-top terrace., before you end up with a “Mojito” at another of his favourite haunts “La Bodeguita”, just around the corner of the Cathedral Square.
