Sitting in the hillside, surrounded by lush green forests and overlooking the bay, the Lone hotel looks like a curved luxurious ocean liner. The design, albeit contemporary, was inspired by the superb nature in the area. This can be felt through the choice of materials, palettes and the design features that encourage the outside in, such as the large windows in the lobby.

All rooms are modern with neutral tones and shades of grey, set against bold colours and light woods. All rooms enjoy a balcony overlooking the sea or the forests. 16 rooms have an outdoor plunge pool and rooms, such as the vast 'deluxe suite', have a terrace massage tub.

The wellness spa is one of the best we have enjoyed in Croatia. With multiple relaxation zones, a vitality bar, an indoor pool and a thermal zone of saunas, steam baths and submerged water rooms with hydra massage. We'd happily spend a few days for the spa alone.

The hotel boasts a large outdoor swimming pool and children's pool, set a short distance from the pretty white pebbled beach. Guests have access to Montel Mulini beach club with watersports by day and lounge DJs by night.

Enjoy multiple dining options. A signature fine dining restaurant as well as 'Restaurant On' with stunning views of the lush forests. A relaxed restaurant in the lobby offers themed dining such as Sushi nights and pastries.

The lobby bar has a wonderful terrace for coffee, champagne, cocktails and finger food.

The Lone is a great choice for families with the option of interconnecting rooms, a children's club and a children's swimming pool.
