Harmony Hotel is located on the Nicoya Peninsula and so isn’t easy to reach but it is certainly worth it if you are happy to journey that little bit further. It is an eco-hotel located in the jungle of Nosara, a coastal town is made up of 4 beaches and a few yards from one of the best surf beaches in the world.

There are 24 clean, modern bedrooms here which are designed with thought on the environment. They are simply and unfussy, but the property is focused on being outside not in the room. The Cocos rooms face the swimming pool and are the smallest with an enclosed wood-decked patio with hammocks and a heated shower. The bungalows are bigger and more private with a plenty of outside space. Do note the rooms are still quite intimately close together. The bathrooms are nothing special, but they have 100% biodegradable products and the water is used to water the hotel’s banana trees and ginger plants.

Eating is generally taken in the restaurant neat to the pool and is a relaxed option. The food is organic and there is a lovely cocktail bar. Food is expensive but the meals are large so there is certainly the option to share. Alternatively, you can walk to local restaurants nearby.

The main attraction of coming here is the surfing and if you haven’t before this is the perfect place to learn!

This property has become popular for city dwelling surfers who no longer want to stay in a surf shack and need a stylish hotel near to the beach. It is not luxury in the sense of formal service and rooms full of amenities but focuses on aspects such as the organic food, healing centre, sunrise yoga and direct access to surf!
