The locally owned and run Tegal Sari has been a part of Ubud since 1990 and in our opinion is one of the best value properties in the area. It stands out from its competition with it's location between two large paddy fields which means most rooms have excellent views, the staff offer genuinely friendly service and the rooms themselves are spacious and well presented.

The pool is small but attractive and with just 21 rooms never normally too busy. The spa is located away from the hotel but there are massage pavilions in the gardens. Abian restaurant offers excellent local food and the Indonesian feast is particularly good value if you would like to try a mix of classic Bali dishes. We generally recommend the superior or super deluxe rooms on the top floor but these rooms can be hard to secure in the summer months so early booking is essential.
